Obituary of Joan Elizabeth Lent

The death of Joan (McConnell) Lent of the Nason Road, Saint John, NB, wife of the late George Edward Lent, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, July 20th, 2004. Born in Saint John, NB she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mabel (Thompson) McConnell. Joan is survived by companion, Ralph Greer; two daughters; Brenda Leavitt (Maurice) and Margie Bradbin (Ken), both of Saint John, NB; three sons, Don (Kim) of Saint John, NB, Raymond (Dawn) of Hampton, NB and Brian (Susan) of Saint John, NB; two sisters, Florence Cuthbertson (Mack) of Cornwall, ON and Barb Czempoyesh (Joe) of Cambridge, ON; one brother, Burt McConnell (Lotty) of Carignan, QC; one sister-in-law, Bea McConnell of Saint John, NB; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Glady East and Marion Webb; and one brother, Lloyd McConnell. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506) 634-7424, with visitation on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 23rd, 2004 at 11:00 am from Brenan's Chapel. A private committal service will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
