Obituary of Dale A. Nelson

Nelson, Dale A. … It is with great sadness the family of Dale Anthony Nelson, of Quispamsis, NB, husband of Lesley (Jones) Nelson, announce his passing on Friday, November 23, 2007. Born in Saint John on March 20, 1951 he was a son of the late Edward and Nora (Sullivan) Nelson. Besides his wife Lesley he is survived by one son Scott (Alichia) of Quispamsis; two daughters, Angela of Rothesay, Kimberly (Teddy) Place, of Sarnia, ON; two grandsons, Logan and Andrew, one granddaughter, MacKenzie, one brother, Philip (Andrea), one sister, Carol (Bill) McGrath, brother-in-law, Allan (Pat) Jones, several nieces and nephews. Dale graduated from Simonds High School in 1969. Following graduation he became an automotive mechanic working at D&J Chevrolet until 1983 and then became service manager at Maple Leaf Motors until 2005. In June of this year he proudly graduated from NBCC motor vehicle repair and Painter with high honors. He pursued his career at Reynold’s Auto Body. His love of cars was also apparent in his passion for his 55 Chevy and his love of corvettes. He was a member of St. Joachim’s Church, St. Mark’s Church, Quispamsis, Hammond River Stock Car Association, and the Corvette Owners of America. A Scholarship will be established in Dale’s memory at NBCC Saint John. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424) with visiting on Monday and Tuesday, November 26 & 27, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial Will be celebrated on Wednesday, November, 28, 2007 St. Mark’s Church, Quispamsis at 10:00 am. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Animal Rescue League, Mindcare NB Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice. www.brenansfh.com
