Obituary of Marjorie Mae Young

Marjorie Mae Young of Dartmouth, and formerly of Saint John, wife of Clyde P. Young, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2008. Born at Port Lorne, Nova Scotia, she was a daughter of the late Trueman B. and Anna Sophia (Sabean) Lewis. Marjorie was a member of the Victoria Street Baptist Church, and a member of Main Street Baptist Church; the Martha Spragg Women’s Missionary Society, and the Friendly Fellowship Club of the church. She was a former member of Central Baptist Church, where she taught Mission Band, and was also involved with the Women’s Missionary Society. In addition to her husband, Marjorie is survived by a sister, Myrtle Lewis of Bridgetown, Nova Scotia; and a sister-in-law, Eleanor Burnett of Saint John; along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Kenneth N. Earle; a son, Laurence N. Earle; and sister Jean Mitchell, Beatrice Hebert, Bernice Mills, and Joyce Poole. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2:15 PM from Brenan’s Chapel. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery.
