Obituary of Clifford Thomas Elliott

Surrounded by his family, the death of Clifford Elliott, husband of Violette (Soucy) Elliott, of Old Orchard Lane, Saint John occurred at his residence on Wednesday, November 5, 2008. He was born in Knightville, NB on October 31, 1935 to the late Thomas and Grace (Carll) Elliott. Clifford worked as a welder then a foreman for Apex Machine Works retiring in 1994 after 32 years there. He was a member of the Fundy Gardeners Club, the Barbershoppers and Renforth Ice Fishing Association. Besides his wife Violette, he is survived by their four children: Deborah Anne Kay (Ken) and Darren (Chantel) both of Rothesay, Mark (Lidia) of Quispamsis and Craig (Petina) of Victoria, BC; five grandchildren: Christopher, Melanie Stephanie, Matthew and Adam Elliott; one brother, Robert (Sharon) of Moncton; three sisters: Marie Keith (Theodore) of Moncton, Jean Norden (Ed) of Petitcodiac and Ruth Wilband (Paul) of River Glade; sisters-in-law, Marjorie and Shirley Elliott; also survived by Aunt Edith Coates; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Clifford was predeceased by his parents; two brothers: Garth and Ross Elliott and a son Robert Elliott. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Friday and Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, 144 Simpson Drive, Saint John on Monday, November 10, 2008 at 11 am. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Saint John Regional Hospital Extra Mural Program, St. Ann's Parish-Building Fund or charity of the donor’s choice.
