Obituary of David Arthur Perkins

The death of David Arthur Perkins of Saint John, NB, occurred suddenly at his home on Monday, September 22, 2008 after a courageous life long battle with diabetes. Born in Saint John he was a son of the late Garnett and June (Arthurs) Perkins. He was a member of Edith Avenue Baptist Church. David had been employed with Atlantic Towing, Alternate Heating and did mechanic work at Bettle’s Steering and Automotive. He is survived by one brother, Paul Perkins; two sisters, Andrea (Gerry) Hebert, Carolyn (Peter) Landry and Gail Perkins all of Saint John; four nieces and three nephews. By the request of David there will be no visiting. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at 11:00 am in Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Kidney Foundation or the CNIB. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424).
