Shiels, Karen Anne … The death of Karen Anne Shiels of Saint John occurred on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on August 10, 1952 a daughter of the late Ronald and Julia (Rooney) Shiels. Survived by her son, Chris LeBlanc (Angela Garnett); a brother, Keith Shiels; a sister, Charlene (Manfred) Quapp; grandson, Kamryn Ray Garnett-LeBlanc; special friend, Danny Nodwell and three nieces. Predeceased by her parents and a grandson, Ashton John Garnett-LeBlanc. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Tuesday from 7-9 pm. Graveside Service and interment will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at 10 am at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or any charity of choice.
