Obituary of Raymond Joseph Robichaud

The death of Raymond Joseph Robichaud, of Magazine Street, husband of Yvonne M. (Savoie) Robichaud, occurred at the Ridgewood Veterans Wing, on Tuesday, July 30, 2008. Born at Chatham, NB, July 6, 1923, he was the son of the late Benedict & Genevieve (Savoie). He had been a stevedore with the I.L.A. and was formerly employed with Sheldon Wiley at NB Telephone; and was a Veteran of the Second World War, served overseas with the Royal Canadian Air Force, was member of the 15th Field Regiment, 4th Division, member of Local 1039 and the Carpenters Union. Raymond was a former member of Holy Trinity and St. Pius X Parishes. He is survived by his wife, four sons of Saint John; Randy (Cathy), James (Sherry), William (Bev) and Paul (Julie); special daughter Kimberly Broderick (Wayne) of Arroosook, NB; one brother, Alphonce of Barrie ON; four grand children Patti, Brendon, Timothy, and Christopher, several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his brothers Nicholas and Albert and a sister Lorraine Malley. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, 634-7424, with visiting on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Waterloo Street on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to Ridgewood Veteran’s Wing or the charity of the donor’s choice.
