Obituary of Catharina M. Jowett

The passing of Catharina Jowett of Saint John, NB occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, July 26, 2008 in her 90th year after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Born in The Netherlands, she was a daughter of the late Lambertus and Johanna (Geul) Feelders. Survived by her two daughters, Patricia Jowett of Saint John and Maureen Jowett (Reg Cox) of Maquapit Lake, NB; three grandchildren, Gail and Joshua Cox and Wendy (Steve) Craft; and two great-grandchildren, Megan and Danielle Craft; many good friends, in particular Gerri and Dot; several nieces and nephews in Holland. Predeceased by her parents, two sisters and a brother. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated from St. Peter’s Church, Clarendon St., on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at 11 am. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, on Sand Cove Road. Remembrances may be made to the Leslie E. Bruce Environmental Scholarship Fund, the Canadian Cancer Society, the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation or any charity of choice.
