Obituary of Bruce Karl Hamilton

Surrounded by his family, the death of Bruce Hamilton, husband to the late Ella Francis (Sherman) Hamilton occurred on Sunday, January 22, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born on June 24, 1923, at Nova Scotia to the late Mary Alice Hamilton. Bruce worked for many years in the Housekeeping Department of the Saint John Regional Hospital. He loved to make shoes and working with leather. Bruce was an avid hunter, fisherman and harmonica player. Bruce is survived by his daughter, Sharon Robertson of Saint John; sons: Royden of Yellowknife and Robert of BC; sister, Marcella Whynott (John); good friends, Albert and Sharon Miller; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, parents and son, Carl. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Friday, January 27, 2012 at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place in All Saints Cemetery, Clifton Royal in the spring. Remembrances to the Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
