Obituary of Gladys Ruth Palmer

Surrounded by her family, the death of Glady Palmer, wife of the late Norman A. Palmer occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, June 3, 2011. She was born on December 9, 1928 in Saint John to the late George and Eva Raymond. Glady worked at Titus Bakery and at Exhibition Park Raceway for many years. She loved cooking, knitting and animals. Glady was an avid collector, she enjoyed elephants and coins. Her passion was for Bingo at the EPR. Glady was a devoted wife and mother; dedicating her life to her family. Glady is survived by three sons: Norman, George (Shirley MacGuire) and Danny (Kelly Porter) all of Saint John; daughter, Heather (Percy Boulter) of Saint John; two sisters: Doris Belding of Fredericton and Mildred Galloway of Woodstock and multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband; son, Wayne and brothers, Daryl and Malcolm. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visitation Saturday from 7-9 PM and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 10 AM. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Animal Rescue League would be appreciated by the family.
