Obituary of Donald C. Mummery

In loving memory of Donald Mummery of Saint John, NB, husband of the late Christabel Mummery, who passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at the Loch Lomond Villa Nursing Home. Born in Halifax, NS on March 29, 1929, he was the only son of the late Arthur and Helen (Dooley) Mummery. Donald worked for many years at Westinghouse in Halifax, and followed this with 25 years of service to Revenue Canada in Saint John. He is survived by his loving daughter, Gail Mummery (Mark McLean) of Manchester, NH; one sister, Kathleen Lawther. He is predeceased by his sister, Madeline McDougall. Cremation has occurred in keeping with Donald’s wishes. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 2:00 pm from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Alzheimer’s Society or any charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
