Obituary of Bertha Eleanor Forsythe

Surrounded by her family the death of the Bertha Forsythe, wife of the late Brice Forsythe Sr. occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, June 22, 2011. She was born on November 12, 1928 in Loggieville to the late Will and Mary (Hebert) Savoie. She worked at the Saint John General and Regional Hospitals for many years before her retirement. She was an avid bingo player and loved long drives with Brice. She devoted her life to her family, loving her children and grandchildren dearly. She is survived by three sons: Ernest of Upham, NB and John and Brice Jr. (Margaret) both of Saint John, NB; three daughters: Margaret Forsythe (Mario) and Eleanor Sparks (Mike) both of Saint John and Elizabeth Burns (Bob) of Sussex, NB; sister, Kay Owens (Lloyd) of Saint John; brother, Johnny Savoie of Willow Grove and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Saturday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at 2 PM. For those who wish, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
