Obituary of Kimberly Anne Gionet

The unexpected death of Kim Gionet, wife of Denis Gionet Sr., occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, May 2, 2011. She was born on August 23, 1956 in Saint John to Louise Wilcox and the late John Stevens Sr. Kim was a devoted mother and grandmother to all the children she met and to her friends she was Momma or Nanny Kim. Her life and money was spent caring for and spoiling her grandchildren. Besides her husband and mother, Kim is survived by son, Denis Gionet; daughter, Jenny Mason (Mark); brother, John Stevens Jr.; sister, Judy Leland (John); six grandchildren: Chris (Krystal), Ryan, Jonathan, Michaela, Morgan and Lacey and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father and sister, Karen Dempster. Momma will also be missed by her Chihuahua, Tico Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Friday, May 6, 2011 at 10 AM. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish donations to a living memorial would be appreciated by the family. Nanny Kim would want everyone to be comfortable during this difficult time so please wear your best jeans to the visiting and funeral.
