Obituary of Doris Irene Bevans

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Doris Irene Bevans of Saint John, which occurred on Monday, February 6, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born on February 7, 1929 in Saint John she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Cora (Hyslop) Bevans. Doris is survived by her special niece, Cathy McCormick and her husband, Mike and their children, Melissa, Michael and Angela and their four children; sister-in-law, Irma Bevans; brother-in-laws, William Baker and Lyman Webb; several other nieces and nephews. The last surviving member of her immediate family, Doris was predeceased by her siblings, Ronald, Vera Webb and Joyce Baker. In keeping with Doris’ wishes there will be no formal visitation or funeral service. A private graveside service will be held at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). For those who wish, remembrances to any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
