Obituary of Eveline Alberta Whitebone

The death of Eveline Alberta (Lounsbury) (McBrien) Whitebone of Saint John, NB, occurred on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Moncton, NB, she was a daughter of the late Elsie and Hartley Lounsbury, she lived the greater part of her life in Saint John. She was a member of Tabernacle United Baptist Church, and held a life membership in the Canadian Baptist Women’s Missionary Society of Tabernacle United Baptist Church. She was a former employee of MRA’s and F.W. Woolworth, retiring in 1962. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her first husband, A. Earle McBrien and her second husband William Whitebone; sisters Blanche Lounsbury, Mabel King and Myrtle Mitton; brothers Lloyd Rawline, Milford Rawline, Gordon Rawline, Harold Lounsbury, Roy Lounsbury, and Ernest Lounsbury; step-daughter Marian Smith; and close friend of 60 Years, Doris Dunlop. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by one son, Milford (Donna) McBrien; step-sons, Donald McBrien and David (Tammy) Whitebone; step-daughters, Donna (John) Buckley, Judith McKillop (Mack Gilker) and Lynda (Leonard) Collrin; sister-in-law, Neta Lounsbury; several step -grandchildren and step-great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews. The family wishes to express sincere gratitude and appreciation to friends and caregivers Shirley Arbeau and Debbie Knorr, and to Dr. Vaughn Smith and the Extra Mural Nursing Staff for their excellent and compassionate medical care. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, (506) 634-7424, with visiting on Thursday, May 5, 2011 from 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Friday, May 6 at 12 Noon. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish remembrances to Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
