Obituary of Marjorie Mary Robichaud

Marjorie Mary Robichaud of Saint John, wife of Lawrence Robichaud, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Saint John on June 14, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Mary L (Clements) Jones. Marjorie loved the simple things that life had to offer. She loved flowers, gardening, home cooked meals, loved to laugh and was happiest when surrounded by her family. Marjorie will be fondly remembered by her children Raymond Griffin of Saint John, and Joan Thorne (Don O’Regan) of Quispamsis. She is survived by her sisters Norma Greenslade, Lena Ewart and one brother Raymond Jones, all of Saint John, NB. She also leaves grandchildren Derek Thorne (Tina LeClerc), Greg Thorne (Stacey Robichaud), Lisa Thorne, Michael Griffin (Shannon) and Stephen Griffin (Tammy) all of Saint John, NB. She was very proud of her great grandchildren Gavin, Owen, Emma, Darlene and Clara. Marjorie was predeceased by brothers Ronald, Roy, Cecil, and Murray Jones; sisters, Doreen Jones and Della Carson; and a granddaughter, Kelly-Anne Griffin. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Thursday, August 25, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
