Obituary of Isabel Lillian Holt

On Monday, May 9, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Mrs. Isabel "Belle" (Boutilier) Holt, 84, wife of the late William "Bill" Holt, of Saint John, New Brunswick, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children and loving family. Isabel was predeceased by her son, Ronald Howard Holt. She was born on December 31, 1926 in Port Morien, Cape Breton, the daughter of the late George and Maude ( McLeod) Boutilier. Isabel served in World War II from 1942 to 1945 in the R.C.A.F. Throughout her life she was actively involved in the Saint John North End Little League and was well known by all of her friends and relatives for her delicious and ever present cooked and baked goods. Isabel will be sadly missed by two daughters: Wendy Robertson (Drew) of Fredericton and Kimberley Wolter (Michael) of Winnipeg, MB.; one son: Ricki Holt (Lynn) of Moncton, NB.; two sisters: Edith Lawrence of Birch Grove, NS and Greta Wilson of Glace Bay, NS,; eight grandchildren: Timothy Holt (Lisa), Kristin Gilmore (Nathan), Tracy Holt, Laura Holt, Jay Robertson (Martha), Kelly Holt, Ashley Holt and Jason Wolter and three great grandchildren: Corey Holt, Eden and Cole Gilmore; Sisters-in-law: Kath Boutilier (late Howard), Audrey (Holt) Suttie, Eileen (Holt) Appleton, Elsie (Holt) Peters, Doreen Holt (late Jack) and many nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 12, 2011 at 2:00 pm in Brenan’s Chapel. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society or any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Rest peacefully, Mom, with Dad and Ron.
