Obituary of Thomas Allan Chase

Thomas Allan "Al" Chase of Saint John, husband of Elizabeth A. (Smith) Chase, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Montreal, QC on October 24, 1950, he was the son of the late Thomas Allan and Grace Eunice (Parker) Chase. Al worked as a Marine Engineer for the Government of Canada. He enjoyed sailing, and reading medical mysteries and westerns. Al also loved to swim and was a wonderful cook, never divulging his secret ingredients. He was always strong willed, upbeat and full of life, and had a wonderful sense of humour. In addition to his wife of 30 years, Al is survived by his children, Tasha Anne Chase of Hamilton, Ontario, Tamara Grace Chase of Fredericton, and A.J. (Al) Chase of Saint John; a grandson, Xavier Thomas Chase; and a brother, Gregory Chase of Montreal, QC. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday, June 19, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, June 20, 2011 at 2:00 PM.
