Obituary of Evelyn Karen Blanchard

Surrounded by her family, the death of Evelyn Blanchard, wife of the late Vital Pierre Blanchard occurred on Monday, December 13, 2010 at 10:30 PM at Bobby’s Hospice House. She was born on January 18, 1942 at Saint John to the late William and Mona (Wright) Walker. Evelyn worked at the Union Club as a waitress, bartender and hostess for over 25 years. In her spare time, Evelyn loved to bowl and dance. She is survived by her two sons: Randy Blanchard (Doris Hill) of Toronto, ON and Stephen Walker of Saint John; three step-children: Louise Blanchard (Donald), Michelle and Jean-Pierre; god-daughter, Kimber-Dawn; three brothers: Bobby, Rick and Rodneyjohn (Diane); six sisters: Anne, Bev (Larry), Cathy (Terry), Brenda, Mary Jane (Rick) and Patsy (Charlie); two step-grandchildren, two lifetime friends: Al Cormier and Flo Levine and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Evelyn was predeceased by two brothers: Raymond and Ronnie and two sisters: Beatrice and Joan. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, December 17, 2010 at 12 noon.
