Obituary of Doris Catherine Richardson

Surrounded by her family, the death of Doris Richardson, wife of the late Albert L. Richardson occurred at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Saturday, January 29, 2011. She was born on December 17, 1922 at Saint John to the late William and Mary (Brown) Foster. Doris was loving wife and mother; she devoted her life to her family. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Recycled Teenagers Bowling League. Doris is survived by her son, Lindsay Richardson (Debbie) of Fredericton; granddaughter, Angela Roth (David) of Keswick Ridge; great grandaughter, Lily Roth; two brothers: William Foster (Peggy) of St. George and Berton Foster (Gail) of Saint John; two sisters: Elizabeth “Betty” Dilazzaro of California and Audrey Slade of Brampton, ON and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Doris was predeceased by a brother, Allison Foster and sister, Gladys Fawcett. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with private family visitation only. The Public Funeral Service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place in Riverbank Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers a remembrance to a favorite charity would be appreciated by the family.
