Obituary of Carol Marie Baker

The death of Carol Marie (Bellew) Baker of Saint John, wife of the late John Baker occurred on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Halifax, NS, she was a daughter of the late Bert and Freda (Snow) Bellew. Carol was employed with CNIB as a secretary for 20 years and with the Saint John Volunteer Centre for 17 years until her retirement. She is survived by daughters: Beth Ruseff and Lisa Lanteigne (Gary Smith); sisters: Margaret O’Rourke (Oliver) and Nancy Thomas: step-children: Sue Thompson (Gunner Tomson), Kathy Wilson (Gary), Christine Raynes (Buddy), Karen Ballard, Albert Baker (Ruth), Peter Baker (Theresa) and Robert Baker; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. To honour Carol’s request visitation will take place following cremation, on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424) at 12 Noon.
