Obituary of Deborah Anne Norwood

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Deborah Anne Norwood of Saint John, partner of David Finlayson, which occurred on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a brief courageous battle with cancer. Born in Saint John on July 4, 1951 she was a daughter of Jean and the late Clarence Norwood. Deborah was a very proud, loving and devoted, mother, daughter, grandmother and sister. She was a very fun outgoing person who always put others before herself. Deborah loved to cook, bake and play cards. She is survived by her daughters, Margaret LeBlanc (Mark Ferguson); Tanya LeBlanc (Maurice Richard) and Lori Ann (Houssein) Mzehem; one son, John LeBlanc; mother, Jean Norwood; partner, David Finlayson; five brothers, Kenny Norwood, Gary Norwood, David Norwood, Wayne Garner and Robert Garner; one sister, Wendy Garner; seven grandchildren, Robert, Sheldon, Thomas, Joshua, Samira, Mireille and Amy; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her father, Clarence Norwood, brother, Eric Garner and grandson, Benoit. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Thursday, December 29, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 10:00 am from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. For those who wish remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
