Obituary of William Robert Scribbans

Surrounded by his loving family, Bill Scribbans, loving husband of Christina Scribbans (Mercer) passed away peacefully on June 28, 2011, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born on July 18, 1942 in Saint John, a son of the late Walter and Bertha (Knox) Scribbans. Bill worked for many years at Sobeys, and then for the City of Burlington. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his sons Jeffrey Allan and Michael Robert of Ontario, grandchildren Chelsea, Toni and Jordyn of Ontario; brother Angus of Dartmouth, sisters Mae Vales of Burlington, Shirley O’Neill and Carolyn Martin, both of Saint John. He was predeceased by his brother Walter Scribbans and sister Willa Scribbans. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 1st at 10:00am from Brenan’s Chapel.
