Obituary of Vernon Thomas Walton

The unexpected death of Vernon Walton occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Thursday, September 19, 2013 after a brief illness. He was born on April 17, 1955 in Saint John to the late Douglas and Clara (Benoit) Walton. Vernon worked for Irving Oil Ltd, Kincade Roofing and sailed with Kent Lines throughout his career until his health forced him to retire. He is survived by seven siblings: Ruth Waller (Jeff), Marlene MacDonald (Bob), Neil Walton, Cindy Walton, Gary Walton, Pat Walton and Victor Walton and several nieces and nephews. Vernon was predeceased his parents; brothers: David and Bruce and sister, Elaine. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). The Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 12 noon with the family receiving friends starting at 11:00 am.
