Obituary of Harold Robinson Kelly

Harold Robinson Kelly October 17, 1927- June 11, 2013 Harold Robinson Kelly (Hal), 85, of Leesburg, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2013 at Tavares Cornerstone Hospice House. Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada to Hilda (Dempsey) and Wallace Kelly, he and his wife of 32 years, Shirley (Gault) and their two daughters, Karolyn and Sandra, moved to Springfield, MA in 1956 and eventually to North Brunswick, NJ, where Hal was employed with Sherwin Williams until his retirement in 1984. He was very active in and committed to his church, St. Barnabas in South Brunswick, NJ. He had a life-long love of fishing and the outdoors. After the passing of his wife, Shirley, in 1981, Hal and his loving partner of 30 years, Barbara Westbrook, moved to Leesburg, Florida where he lived until his death. Hal was predeceased by his two brothers, Dr. Carmen Kelly of Saint John and Murray Kelly of Woodstock. Harold was extremely loving and proud of his two daughters, Karolyn Kelly of Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada and Sandra Kelly of East Windsor, NJ. He adored his grandchildren Chris, Adam, Becky and Maia and his two great grandchildren Marion and Casey. His devotion and love will be greatly missed. Although there will be no visitation time, relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service, which will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 11:00 AM from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). Harold will be laid to rest in Fernhill Cemetery in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. For those who wish, remembrances may be sent to St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 142 Sand Hills Road, Monmouth Junction, NJ 08852 in lieu of flowers.
