Obituary of Robert Thomas Mellor

Mellor, Robert Thomas – It is with heavy hearts that the family of Robert "Bob" Mellor, loving husband to Sheila Mellor, announces his passing which occurred on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on February 6, 1945, he was the only child of the late Russell and Patricia (Mason) Mellor. Bob was a strong-willed man who loved the outdoors and all things in nature, especially hunting and fishing. In addition to his wife Sheila (Richard), Bob will be missed by his children: Robert (Mike), Richard (Mary) and Randall (Heather); step children, Robert Garner (Miranda) and Bryan Garner (Allyssa); grandchildren, Tom, Paul (Ariel), Christy (Jason), Sarah and Brianne; step grandchildren, Wyatt, Flynt, Ella and Clyff; great grandchildren, Jadon, Jackson, Shyla and Steven; his beloved dogs, Sandy, Drew, Teddy, Kissie, Petey, Lily, Lacey and Frankie the cat; as well as all those whose lives he touched throughout his life. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visiting on Thursday April 6, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 12:00 pm from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Extension. For those who wish, remembrances made to the SPCA – Animal Rescue or any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
