Obituary of Mildred Wiggins

The death of Mildred "Dolly" Wiggins of Saint John, beloved wife of the late Victor Wiggins occurred peacefully on Friday, January 19, 2018 at the Church of St. John and St. Stephen Nursing Home. Born on June 24, 1919 in Montreal, QC, she was the daughter of the late Henry K. and Mildred J. (Hamm) Adamson. During her working years, Millie was employed as a Nurse’s Aid at Mill Cove Nursing Home. She always treasured the times spent with those she loved and devoted her life to caring for the needs of her family. Millie always took great comfort in her faith and was a member of RiverCross Church. She enjoyed her times spent participating with the Harambee Women’s Missionary Society and the Friendly Fellowship Group. Millie was an avid gardener and loved to bake. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and reading. Millie will be greatly missed. Millie is survived by her sister, Cora Vincent of Saint John, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her sons, Harold and Robert; brothers, Henry K. and Theodore "Ted"; as well as brother-in-law, Harold Vincent. Resting at RiverCross Church, 61 Forbes Drive, Saint John, with visiting on Monday, January 22, 2018 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM and will be immediately followed by the Funeral Service beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment will take place in St. Luke’s Anglican Cemetery, Waterborough in the Spring. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). For those who wish, remembrances may be made to RiverCross Church, Canadian Cancer Society or to the Alzheimer Society of NB.
