Obituary of Shirley Doreen Mullett

It is with deep sadness that the family of Shirley Mullett announce her passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, following a brief illness. Born August 30, 1926 in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Louise (White) Wright. As a true matriarch, Shirley’s children and grandchildren were the most important aspect of her life; she was always asking how they were doing, and thoroughly enjoyed their visits. Shirley is survived by her 5 sons: Fred (Sue), Donald (Norma), Peter (Peggy), Paul (Rosanne), and Mike (Michele); one daughter, Diane Kerr (Douglas); 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her former husband and father of her children, Frederick Mullett; son, Patrick; daughter, Holly; grandsons: Dana and Gary; great-grandson, Greg Fudge; nine sisters; one brother, and daughter-in-law, Jill. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Friday, March 17, 2017 from 2pm to 8pm. A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 11am from St. Pius X Church. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Please place online condolences and remembrances at www.brenansfh.com.
