Obituary of Margaret Raymonde Malone

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Margaret Raymonde Malone, wife of the late Paul Malone, announces her passing which occurred Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on November 10, 1925, Margaret was a daughter to the late James and Eulia (Marchand) Montgomery. She was employed with NB Liquor Control and Neilson’s Clearing House for a number of years. She enjoyed volunteering her time as a Brownie Leader, a Captain and fundraiser for the Heart and Stroke Foundation and was a member of the CWL for 50 years. She was an honourary member of the Red Rockin’ Robins Red Hatters and was an avid BINGO player. Margaret took pleasure in watching games shows with her constant companion and sleeping buddy, her dog Asia. Margaret will be remembered by her surviving family, her children: Joan Dwyer, Gary (Donna) Malone, Peggy (Mack) Gaudett, Norma Malone and Debbie (Jim) Robichaud, her grandchildren: Mike (Christine) Dwyer, Lorrie (Stephen) Johnston, Pat Dwyer, Jason Malone and Leighanne (Chris) Hubley , Heather Gaudett (Dave MacFarlane), Tara Malone, Michael Malone (Katie), Toni (Randy) May, Shona (Ali), Justin Robichaud (Laura) and Luke Robichaud, 16 great children, her siblings: Lily MacDonald and Robert (Alice) Montgomery, her goddaughter Patsy Trecartin along with many nieces, nephews and members of her extended family. Besides her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her husband Paul, her great-granddaughter Stefanie Dwyer, son-in-law Donnie Dwyer, and siblings: Jane Duffy, Frances Richard, Dolly, Alex, Rolly, and Jerry Montgomery. Margaret’s family wishes to extend many "Thanks" to the staff of 5CS for the care and compassion they showed and a special "Thanks" to family friend, Melissa. Arrangements are in the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) where visitation will be held on Monday, October 17 from 2-4 and 6-8. A Funeral Liturgy will take place on Tuesday, October 18 at 12:10 PM from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception with interment to follow at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Children’s Wish Foundation.
