Obituary of Deborah Ann Smith

With heavy hearts, the family of Debbie Smith, loving partner to the late Brian Wilkins, announces her peaceful passing at her home on October 23, 2017. Debbie was born on March 18, 1959 in Saint John, NB. Debbie was recently recognized by Horizon Health for her 30 years of dedicated service at the SJRH as a Medical Laboratory Technologist. At the beginning of her career, Debbie worked in Chemistry and later moved to Hematology where she spent most of her years. Debbie is survived by her sisters: Faye (Denis) Gleeson and their children Erin, Kevin and Lauren; Linda Cullen and her daughter Christina Dobson; Diane (David) LeBlanc. Many extended family members and a very close circle of friends are also mourning her loss. In addition to her partner Brian, Debbie was predeceased by her mother Margaret Garnett, grandparents John and Irene Wallace, brother-in-law Raymond Cullen. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visitation on Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 12:00 PM. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery following the service. For those who wish, remembrances in memory of Debbie may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
