It is with great sadness the family of Brian Donald Walsh announce his passing on July 22, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital following a long journey with ALS. Brian is the son of Eleanor O’Brien (Walsh) and the late Donald Walsh of Saint John and Winnipeg, Manitoba. Brian is survived by his brother, Michael Walsh (Kathy); his sisters: Karen Walsh (Kevin), Linda Dolan (Terry) of Fredericton, and Christine Hickey (Frank) of Summerville; his newly found daughter, Sonia Stockman (Scott) of Moncton; step-father, George O’Brien, aunts, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his father, Brian was predeceased by his infant sister, Donna Marie Walsh. The family wishes to thank the staff of Saint John Regional Hospital’s SICU, MICU, 5C South, and 4B North for taking such good care of Brian. Special thanks to Crystal, Twyla, Krystal, Hayley, Nicole, Shelli, Aimee, and Violet for their excellent care, for going above and beyond the call of duty, and for the compassion, respect, and friendship they showed to our Brian. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visitation on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 from 3 to 8 pm.
