Obituary of Lorraine Theresa McNulty

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Lorraine T. McNulty, loving wife of the late Douglas McNulty, announces her passing, which occurred on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Bobby’s Hospice with her family by her side. Born in Saint John on August 11, 1935, she was the only daughter of the late Leo Stephen and Mary Josephine (Viger) Doyle. Lorraine was a kind, nurturing woman. She owned and operated McNulty’s Special Care Home for 20 years, giving back to the community with her compassionate care of the sick and the elderly. She held a special place in her heart for animals – especially her beloved dog, Micky. She enjoyed dancing, music, and had a flair for fashion. She will be missed by her daughter, Susan Kenny; grandchildren, Jennifer (Jeff) and Stephen (Jessica); great grandchildren, Spencer, Benjamin and Joshua; a brother, Gerard Doyle (Jean); her treasured friend, Winnifred Wallbank; her canine companion, Micky; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Douglas, Lorraine was predeceased by her brothers, Frank and George. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 2:00 pm from St. Rose of Lima, 541 Milford Road, Saint John. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to SPCA – Animal Rescue, Bobby’s Hospice, or a Mass said at the Catholic Church of your choice.
