Obituary of Jacquelyn S. Lambert

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jacquelyn "Jackie" Lambert announces her passing, which occurred on Monday, February 20, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in St. Martins on February 28, 1941, she was a daughter of the late John Edward and Edith Mildred (Yeomans) Cairns. Jackie was a kind woman of few words who never spoke ill of anyone. She was a long-time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 69 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, and knitting. She knit many hats and mittens over the years and donated them to children in need, and to the Empty Stocking Fund. She will be missed by her daughters, Nancy Lee Drew (Roger Chiasson) and Betty Jane Lambert; sons, Bobby Lambert and Isaiah Lambert (Marilyn); grandchildren, Amanda (Todd), RJ (Amanda), Kristen (Brian), Paige, Cailey; two great grandchildren, Liam and Trinity; A special sister, Valerie Cairns (Robert Williams); her sisters, Shirley Beck (the late Doug), Barb Sweet (the late Clifford), Pat Perry (Don); a brother, John Cairns (Gene Richard); and her partner, James Bosco. In addition to her parents, Jackie was predeceased by her sister, Deanna Cairns. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visitation on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 12-2 pm, followed by a celebration of her life at 2:00 pm in Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. A Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary Tribute Service will take place on Thursday at 1:00 pm. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
