Obituary of Frederick R. Feltus

The death of Frederick "Ted" Feltus, beloved husband of the late Alice (MacKenzie) Feltus occurred on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Ridgewood Veterans Wing, Saint John. Born on July 13, 1922 in Lawrencetown, NS, he was the son of the late Harry and Georgia (Leeman) Feltus. Ted was a proud veteran who served during WWII as a Halifax bomber pilot with the RAF. He then went on to a career with the Ford Motor Company of Canada from where he retired. Ted devoted his life to taking care of his family’s needs and treasured the times spent with those he loved. He will always be remembered as a loving and dedicated family man who also was a friend to many. Ted is survived by his children, Robert Feltus (Judith) of Sussex, Paul Feltus of Saint John, Nancy Feltus Doiron (Christopher) of Ottawa and John Feltus of Browns Flat; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, Ted was also predeceased by his brother, Lloyd Feltus (Shirley). Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John with visiting on Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM with a Legion Tribute being held at 7:00 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 12:00 Noon. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Ridgewood Veterans Wing - Comfort Fund, Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice.
