Obituary of Norma Constance Budgell

Budgell, Norma Constance – We are saddened to announce the death of Norma Constance (Grant) Budgell, wife of the late Ross Budgell, which occurred on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by her family. Born in Saint John, NB, she was a daughter of the late Hebert and Rita (Stevens) Grant. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Pamela Strobel; sons: Alex Mitchell (fiancée Darlene Lacart) and Blair Marks; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; brothers: Frank Grant, Tom Grant, Rickey Grant, Lou McGrath, Cecil McGrath; sister, Sandra Smith; special friends Judy, Tommy and Tammy; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Norma loved dancing and all types of music. She was for always helping and giving advice. Besides her husband, Norma was predeceased by her parents; son, Darcy Michaelis; daughter, Catherine McCumber; sister, Abbie Magee; and grandson, Paul S. Hrabina. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 11:00 am from Brenan’s Funeral Home. Interment to follow in Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
