Obituary of Nellie Gertrude Hubbard

Hubbard, Nellie Gertrude -- It is with gratitude for a full life that the family of Nellie Hubbard announces her passing, which occurred on Sunday, December 18 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on April 13, 1922, she was raised by her grandmother Mary Ellen Shea. Nellie will be missed by her son, Michael Dexter (Audrey); grandchildren, Christopher (Shelley), Sabrina (Cory) and Tabitha; and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; a sister, Beatrice; and her husband, Leroy J. Hubbard who passed away in 2001. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). Visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A celebration of Nellie’s life will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 12:00 pm from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
