Obituary of Elizabeth Grace Forrest

It is with sadness that the family of Elizabeth Forrest, wife of the late Louis Forrest, announces her passing which occurred on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on November 16, 1927 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Emma (Sprague) Spragg. Betty was a woman of faith and was a long standing member of Edith Avenue Baptist Church. She enjoyed being social. She played on bowling leagues, played cards with her neighbours and always took part in the social activities at her residence. Betty is survived by her children: Richard (Johanna) and Kevin (Marlene), 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, her brother Ronald along with many nieces, nephews and members of her extended family. Besides her parents and husband Louis, Betty is predeceased by her daughter Gayle Forrest. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) where family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, September 24, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, September 25 at 10 am from Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Saint John Boys and Girls Club, Fairfield Community Centre, Edith Avenue Baptist Church or to the Eastside Food Bank.
