Obituary of Bernard Cecil Power

The death of Bernard "Bernie" Power of Saint John occurred on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at the Church of St. John and St. Stephan Home. Born on December 31, 1925 in Saint John, he was the son of the late William and Cora (Marr) Power. Bernie is survived by his brother, Harold (Bertha); several nieces and nephews; as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews. Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by several siblings. Bernie’s family would like to express a special thank you to the nursing home staff for the excellent care that was provided to him. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 1:00 PM. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
