Obituary of Linda Elaine Perry

It is with heavy hearts the family of Linda Elaine (Clark) Perry, loving wife of Peter J. Perry, announce her passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, September 8, 2017. Born in Woodstock, NB on February 22, 1948 she was a daughter of Alta (Furlong) Clark and the late Russell Clark. After raising her daughters, Linda worked at the Carleton-Kirk United Church as a secretary. She was a long time member and past president of the UCW. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed talking on the phone to all of her family members, going for drives with her mother to the cottage, and especially loved cheering for her grandsons during their baseball and hockey games. She was a good card player, enjoyed lottery tickets and watching curling. Linda was incredibly smart and would help her family with their income tax every year, ensuring they got the best refunds. In addition to her mother and husband, Linda will be greatly missed by her two daughters Michelle (Wayne) Spencer of Fredericton and Krista (Mark) Griffin of Saint John; brother Darrell (Lois) Clark of Fredericton; grandsons: Devin, Dawson and Gavin Griffin of Saint John, Aaden and Wyatt Spencer, of Fredericton; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her father Russell and sister Jean O’Brien. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visitation on Monday, September 11, 2017 from 3:00 - 7:00 PM. The funeral service will be held from Carleton-Kirk United Church, 1 Carleton-Kirk Place, Saint John, NB on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 12:00 PM. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in memory of Linda may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB, the Saint John Regional Hospital – Heart Function Clinic or a charity of the donor’s choice.
