Obituary of Eldon Walter Beyea

The death of Eldon Beyea of Hillcrest Village, Saint John, beloved husband of 63 years to Eleanor Jean (Chisholm) Beyea occurred on Friday, April 8, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital in his 91st year. Born on February 22, 1925 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Walter and Eva (Vair) Beyea. Prior to his retirement, Eldon was the co-owner and operator of Beyea Auto Salvage Ltd. for 20 years. He loved fixing cars and trucks and was well known as a jack of all trades. In addition to his wife, Eleanor, Eldon is also survived by their sons, Lawrence (Kathy Thomas) and Brian (Judy) all of Saint John; sister, Audrey MaGee of Salisbury; sister-in-law, Doreen Beyea of Saint John; grandchildren, Michael (Krista), Lacey and their mother, Susan Beyea, Kerry (Shaun) and Amanda (Josh); great-grandchildren, Haylie, Kacie, Maddison, Cooper and a new addition expected in October; numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Eldon was also predeceased by his sisters, Loretta "Dolly", Jean and Barb; as well as brother, Lawrence "Sonny". Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, which will be immediately followed by the funeral service in Brenan’s Chapel at 12:00 PM. A private interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
