Obituary of Frances Louise Burke

The death of Frances “Fran” Burke, wife of the late Allen “Bud” Burke, of 219 Ellerdale St., Saint John, NB, occurred on Saturday, October 9, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint George, NB she was a daughter of the late Clayton and Grace (Doyle) Jackson. Fran resided for the greater part of her life in Saint John, where she was a member of St. Paul's (Valley) Anglican Church, a member of the A.C.W., former member of the I.O.D.E. and a member of the Saint John Regional Hospital Auxiliary. Survived by two brothers, Douglas B.(Robina “Deane”) Jackson of Robbinston, Maine and Ronald H.(Sarah) Jackson of San Antonio, Texas, one uncle of Kanata, Ontario, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins and dear friends. Predeceased by her husband, parents and sister, Bernadine Bartlett. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, (506) 634-7424. At Fran's request there will be no visitation but following cremation a memorial service will be held at the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, October 13, 2004 at 1 pm. Interment will follow in St. George Rural Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Lung Association, the Charlotte County Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
