Obituary of Marjorie L. Longmire

The death of Marjorie Lillian (Keeling) Longmire, formerly of Baxters Corner, wife of the late John David Longmire, occurred on Saturday, October 9, 2004 at the Loch Lomond Villa Inc. Born in Saint John in 1912, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Lillian (Robinson) Keeling. Marjorie was an employee of G. E. Barbour Co., Sears Canada Catalogue Dept., and was an Avon representative for many years. She was a supporter of the Empty Stocking Fund for almost fifty years. Marjorie is survived by one son, Dr. David Longmire and wife Nadia of Russellville, Alabama, one brother George Keeling of Quispamsis, one sister, Frances Clayton of Baxters Corner, one sister-in-law, Mary Speight; six grandchildren: Joanne, Jennifer, Julie, Matthew, Michael and Alex; four great-grandchildren: Cole, Jakob, Max and Alison; several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by one sister, Betty Clements, and two brothers, Ernest Keeling and Donald Speight. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424) with visiting on Friday October 22, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2004 from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
