Obituary of Charles H. Watson

The death of Charles Henry Watson, of Rothesay, formerly of Rothesay Avenue, Saint John, husband of the late Clara A. (Marshall) Watson, occurred on Friday, December 17, 2004 at his residence. Born in Saint John on June 30, 1911, he was the son of the late George M. and Ella M. (Dixon) Watson. Mr. Watson was a member of IBEW #502, the Painter's Union Local 1151 and was a former delegate to the Saint John Labour Council. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, NB #22, Past Patron of the Fundy Chapter #34, Order of the Eastern Star and was an adherent of Tabernacle Baptist Church. He is survived by four sons, Charles A.G. (Patricia) of Rothesay, Brice G. (Lynne), Daryl E., both of Saint John and P. Trevor (Shelley) of Damascus, six daughters, Marilyn Whittaker (Walter), Phyllis Hughes (Walter) both of Saint John, Donna Watson at home, Lois McNeil (Edward) of Saint John, Carol Kilpatrick (Donald) of Rothesay and Joanne Moore (Joseph) of Saint John, one brother, William P. Watson (Lillian) of Saint John, one brother-in-law, William Lane of Hamilton, ON, two sisters-in-law, Louise Doiron (Harvey) of Saint John and Julia Marshall of Clifton Royal, 21 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Esther Whitworth and Edna Lane and daughter-in-law Della Watson. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Saturday and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, December 20, 2004 at 3:30 PM. Interment in Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances to Tabernacle United Baptist Church or the New Brunswick Lung Association would be appreciated.
