Obituary of Ruth E. Baker

The death of Ruth E. Baker, wife of the late R. Gordon Baker, occurred on Sunday, June 5, 2005 at the Carleton-Kirk Lodge. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Walter B. and Lottie S. (Yeomans) Saunders. She was employed for many years with Maritime Storage until her retirement in 1975. She was a member of All Saints Anglican Church, Park Avenue, where she was a member of the ACW and the Altar Guild. She was a member of the Kings Daughters & Sons, Lady Ashburnham Circle. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by Phillis (Gerald) McConaghy, Barbara (Gerard) Johnson and Patricia (Ian) Wilson. At her request there will be no visiting at Brenans Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2005, at 10:30 a.m., from All Saints Anglican Church, Park Avenue, Saint John East. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
