Obituary of Ruth "Hazel" Ross

The death of Ruth 'Hazel' Ross, wife of the late Donald E. Ross, occurred on August 20, 2004, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Amherst, NS, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Alice (Graham) Ring. She and her husband had celebrated their 58th Wedding Anniversary. She was a member of Portland United Church where she was a member of the UCW, Ada Myles Unit. She was the beloved mother of Frances R. D. Thompson and her husband Peter, of Saint John, is survived by her dear grandchildren Christopher Ross Thompson and his wife Melinda and Margaret Elizabeth Greer and her husband Brent, her great grandchildren Cameron Dollar Thompson, Madison Paige Thompson and Meghan Elizabeth Greer and her special cousins, nieces and nephews. Her brothers and sisters Ronald Ring, Eldon Ring, Earle Ring, Margaret Eagles, James Ring, Alice Ring, Helen Ring and Daryl Ring predeceased her. At the request of the family there will not be visiting hours although the funeral service will be held on Monday, August 23, 2004, at 2:15 PM, from Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424). Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers remembrances made to the charity of the donors' choice would be appreciated.
