Obituary of Stanley Gordon Curran

The death of Stanley Gordon Curran of 30 McLellan Street, Saint John, husband of the late Margaret 'Aileen' (Buckley) Curran, occurred on Sunday, February 6, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late Harmon Roger and Elizabeth Margaret (Henderson) Curran. Stanley was employed with CPR for 43 years before his retirement. He also operated a TV repair business for over 30 years. He is survived by his son, Stanley Curran Jr. (Linda) of Saint John, four daughters, Patricia McGivery (Richard) of Gondola Point, Theresa Walker of Saint John, Trina Whipple (Robert) of Saint John and Cindy Curran of Halifax, His special friend Shirley Lester, his brother, George Curran (Hilda) of Saint John, grandchildren, Stanley Curran, Shawn and Richard McGivery, Paul and Robert Walker, Christine Walker and Christa McMaster, eight great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Manford Curran, grandson, Bradley Whipple, brothers, Eddie, Kenneth (Don), James, Manford Walter and Charles, and sisters, Elizabeth and Dorothy. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday from 7-9 PM and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, February 10, 2005 at 2:15 PM. Interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or the charity of the donors' choice would be appreciated.
