Obituary of Martha Carlin

The death of Martha Carlin, wife of the late James Carlin, occurred on December 14, 2004, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Hayward and Isabella (Childs) Mahaney. She was an avid Bingo Player. She is survived by her son John of Darlings Island, her daughters Gail Carlin of Saint John, Isabella and her husband Hazen Douglas of Saint John, her seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family having also been predeceased by her son James. Resting at Brenans Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral will be held on Friday, December 17, 2004, at 1:00 PM, from Brenans Chapel. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances made to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
