Obituary of Margaret Elvira Stanhope

The death of Margaret Stanhope formerly of Saint John, NB occurred on Thursday, April 14, 2005 at her late residence in Bayside, NS. Born in St. Stephen, NB the daughter of the late George and Elvira (McGlenchy) Stanhope, Margaret had graduated from the Saint John Vocational School, worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs and was the recipient of the Queen's Coronation Medal. Survived by nephew, Kevin (Peggy) Stanhope of Bayside, NS; niece, Margaret Lynne Stanhope of Saint John; sisters-in-law, Bertha Virginia Stanhope of Saint John and Mary Stanhope of Montreal, QC; one grand- nephews, one grand-niece, two grand-grand-nieces and one grand-grand-nephew. Predeceased by two brothers, Hazen Leonard and Norman Stanhope. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 18, 2005 at 10 am from Brenan's Chapel. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Memorial Fund of St. Andrew & St. David Church, The Shriner's Hospital or a charity of the donor's choice.
