Obituary of George Clinton Frawsel

The death of Clint “Buster” Frawsel of Ridgewood Veterans Hospital, husband of Helen (Curtis) Frawsel occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on January 14, 2005. Born in Beverly, Mass., USA, he was the son of the late George and Edna (Waterfield) Frawsel. Clint was a veteran of WW 11 serving overseas from 1939 to 1945, rising to the rank of Sergeant with the #3 Field Artillery and continued his military service in the Militia and ending as W O 1 in 1966 . He was employed with Labatt Breweries Limited in Saint John for 20 years. He became a Canadian citizen in March 1966. Clint was a member of Sliver Falls United Church, Branch #53 Royal Canadian Legion, Westfield Golf and Country Club and the Carleton Curling Club. He was an outdoors enthusiast, who loved hunting and fishing, he was a superb marksman. Clint is survived by his wife Helen three stepsons David Curtis (Carol), Richard Curtis (Valerie), and Graeme Curtis (Tracey) all of Saint John, NB, four daughters Carol Ann Crowhurst (William), Florenceville, NB, Susan Crewe (Nathan), Musquodoboit, NS, Dawn Colpits (Robert) and Julie Christianson (Chuck), both of Saint John, NB, two sisters, Phyllis Lethbridge, Windsor, Ont, and Barbara Wilson, Saint John, NB, eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, four brothers and one sister. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424), with visiting on Sunday from 7-9 PM and Monday 2-4, 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at 11:00 AM, interment to follow in St Joseph's Cemetery. Tributes in Clint's memory to the CNIB, Diabetes Association, Parkinson Society or donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
