Obituary of Harry Gaum

Harry Gaum, York Point, Saint John, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2005 at the age of 92. Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late William and Ida Gaum. He was a well known and respected businessman throughout Cape Breton. He was an active and valued member of Shaarei Zedek synagogue. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife Dorothy and brother Abe. He is survived by his children Simon (Karen) and Lois (Dr. Ricardo Bessoudo), grandchildren Lesley (Dov Bercovici) and Jennifer Gaum, Lynn and Mark Bessoudo, and great-grandchildren Rebekah and Matthew Bercovici. He will be lovingly missed by family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Saint John Jewish Historical Museum, of charity of choice would be appreciated.
